Location: I am a French Tutor in Boston
Hi there! I am a native of Yaounde, Cameroon. I did my training in the field of medicine in Russia where I also had the opportunity to teach the French language and the Francophone culture to Russians in a language center called ‘Le français facile’. This experience has helped me to grow my desire to continue to teach my beautiful language. I am interested in health, sports, reading, TV games and also politics.
My method for helping students to improve their French is to identify right from the start the points of difficulty in French in relation to the native language of the student. For example, since the Russian language does not have articles, it is difficult for a Russian to adapt to the use of articles while practicing French. The aim is, therefore, to put a special emphasis on the use of articles.
My classes are usually divided into 3 parts: warming up, lesson of the day and conclusion; each part having its specificity. Warming up consists of preparing the student to shift into French while working on pronunciation. The lesson of the day is aimed to take the student to express himself on the subject we choose together. And finally, the conclusion consists of some relaxing and fun activity (game, song…) in French.
