My name is Mathilde, and I have been a French tutor in Paris since 2017! I have a diploma in teaching French as a foreign language (DAEFLE) issued by the Alliance Française de Paris, as well as three years of experience teaching French abroad, in France and on the internet! For me, teaching a language should be fun and varied. I use the action method with my students, which means that you will learn to use the language as a tool to achieve your personal goals (be it tourism, work, French gastronomy, etc.). We will do grammar and conjugation lessons of course, but I am not focusing my teaching on the grammar rules to be learned by heart. I want the learning to be authentic and fun. So I use a lot of games! No worries, I learned how to use them via the internet as well. I believe in the persity of supports for effective learning. Audio, video, reading, discussion ... so many opportunities to express yourself, depending on your desires but also your abilities because we are all different in terms of learning. If you don't want to develop reading but only conversation, this is what we will do. In my classes, I link culture to language. Thus, during French lessons, you will learn the language while discovering French and Francophone culture. For example, if you are passionate about sport and it motivates you to learn, I will look for suitable supports to facilitate your learning (work on the Rolland-Garros tennis competition, the Tour de France, etc.).
